Watt Ave at US-50 Interchange Project

Overnight US-50 to Watt Avenue Off-Ramp Closures October 28 to 31, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Sacramento, CA. October 28, 2014 – The Sacramento County Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that on the evenings of October 28 to 31, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., there will be full closures of the eastbound US-50 off-ramp to Watt Avenue, and the westbound US-50 off-ramp to Watt Avenue.  Closure and detour information is listed below:
Nights of October 28 to 31:

  1. Eastbound US-50 Off-Ramp to Watt Avenue
    Detour: Eastbound US-50 motorists can exit at Howe Avenue and take Folsom Boulevard east to Watt Avenue.  Motorists that miss the Howe Avenue exit can take the Bradshaw Road exit to Folsom Boulevard, and drive west to Watt Avenue. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists through the project area.

  2. Westbound US-50 Off-Ramp to Watt Avenue
    Detour:  Westbound US-50 motorists can exit at Bradshaw Road and take Folsom Boulevard west to Watt Avenue.  Motorists that miss the Bradshaw Road exit can take the Howe Avenue exit to Folsom Boulevard, and drive east to Watt Avenue.  Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists through the project area.

Delays: Expect possible 5 to 10 minute delays during the detour period.  

Overnight Project Work: Project work during the closure period includes roadway lane striping and installation of roadway signage, ramp metering poles and lighting.   

Completed Project: The completed project will provide a reduction in overall delay through the interchange; much easier and safer access on and off the freeway for all motorists; dedicated transit facilities; and, improved access and safety for bicyclists and pedestrians.  It is anticipated that the project will be completed in November 2014.
