Overnight Ramp Closures - La Riviera Drive  at Watt Avenue.
Motorists Should Be Prepared for Detours and Additional Travel Time

Sacramento, CA July 25, 2014 – The Sacramento County Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that there will be overnight closures of the on and off ramps to La Riviera Drive and northbound Watt Avenue starting on the evening of Friday, July 25, at 10 p.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26.  Motorists should be prepared for detours and additional travel time.  Information about ramp closures and detours is listed below:

  1. La Riviera Drive On-Ramp to Northbound Watt Avenue
    Detour: Motorists have two options:
    a. Traveling west on La Riviera Drive, take a right onto northbound Howe Avenue and then right on Fair Oaks Boulevard to Watt Avenue. 
    b. Traveling east on La Riviera Drive, take a right onto westbound Folsom Boulevard, and then right onto northbound Watt Avenue.
  2. Northbound Watt Avenue Off-Ramp to La Riviera Drive
    Detour: Traveling north on Watt Avenue, proceed north to the American River Drive  exit, take a left onto American River Drive, then left to the on-ramp to southbound Watt Avenue, then take the off-ramp to La Riviera Drive.
Project Work:  Project work during this closure period includes roadway paving.
 
Completed ProjectThe completed project will provide: a reduction in overall delay through the interchange; much easier and safer access on and off the freeway for all motorists; dedicated transit facilities; and, improved access and safety for bicyclists and pedestrians.  It is anticipated  that the project will be completed by late-summer 2014.
