Fair Oaks Petco will house shelter dogs and cats available for adoption

Sacramento, CA, December 8, 2015 – The Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter has teamed up with the Fair Oaks PETCO and the PETCO Foundation for a new dog and cat adoption center in the Sacramento region.

In celebration of that partnership, the Bradshaw Shelter and Petco will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the adoption center at noon, Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Fair Oaks PETCO at 8840 Madison Avenue. The ceremony will include raffle prizes, vendor samples and refreshments.

“We’re glad to have this partnership with PETCO, which will make it even more convenient for potential adopters connect with and adopt shelter animals,” said Director David Dickinson, Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter.

The on-site adoption center will showcase as many as a dozen shelter cats and dogs. All available pets will be spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. The new adoption center is open seven days a week, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
