Watt Ave at US-50 Interchange Project

October 13 to 31, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists Should Be Prepared for 10 to 15 Minutes of Additional Travel Time 

Sacramento, CA  October 10, 2014 – The Sacramento County Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that from October 13 to 31 there will be daytime lane closures on Watt Avenue. Information about the lane closures is listed below:

Watt Ave. between Manlove Road and La Riviera Drive – October 13 to 31, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Each day there will be a lane closed in both directions of Watt Avenue between Manlove Road and La Riviera Drive.

Delays: The daytime lane closures will result in increased congestion, and motorists should expect possible 10 to 15 minute delays in driving time through the interchange.

Project Work: Project work during closure periods includes installation in the center median of a landscape irrigation system and the planting of trees and shrubs.

Completed Project: The completed project will provide: a reduction in overall delay through the interchange; much easier and safer access on and off the freeway for all motorists; dedicated transit facilities; and, improved access and safety for bicyclists and pedestrians. It is anticipated that the project will be completed by November 2014.
