Airport Association Names SMF 3rd in US & Canada for Customer Service

SACRAMENTO, CA. March 1, 2016Sacramento International Airport (SMF) has been ranked 3rd in North America for customer service by Airports Council International (ACI), the international trade association for commercial airports. This is the fourth year in a row Sacramento International Airport has placed among the top airports in the U.S. and Canada for customer service. 

The awards were determined by the cumulative results of Airport Service Quality (ASQ) surveys collected in 2015. ASQ Awards are the industry’s most prestigious accolades and are based on statistically-validated surveys measuring passengers' satisfaction while still at the gate.

The airport placed 3rd place  in the category of Best Airport by Region-North America in a tie with Austin (AUS), Detroit (DTW), San Antonio (SAT) and Toronto Billy Bishop (YTZ).

Sacramento International Airport offers more than 130 nonstop flights to 29 cities and is a part of the Sacramento County Airport System (SCAS). SCAS is responsible for planning, developing, operating and maintaining the county’s four airports: Sacramento International Airport, Executive Airport, Mather Airport and Franklin Field.  The regional economic impact of the Sacramento County Airport System is more than $4 billion annually.
