America Observes Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week

Sacramento, CA., July 13, 2015 - Every July, communities across the United States join together to celebrate national Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week to commemorate community corrections professionals and system partners, highlighting the crucial role they play in keeping communities safe and providing resources to those most in need.

This year, Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week is being celebrated July 12, 2015 through July 18, 2015. The Sacramento County Probation Department will be presented with a Resolution from the County Board of Supervisors, detailing the important work they do on a daily basis. “We are honored to receive recognition for the hard work our Probation Staff and partners do each and every day to improve the lives of those we serve,” said Chief Probation Officer Lee Seale.

Given the added attention to Probation’s work during this week, it is an opportune time for them to share their newly developed Mission and Vision Statement with stakeholders, which was crafted by the department’s Executive Team:
The Sacramento County Probation Department provides clients with the assessment, treatment, supervision and support necessary to prevent re-offending, resulting in a safer community. Our highly-skilled, multi-disciplinary workforce uses innovative strategies to support positive change.

Please join us in honoring Probation, and all those who work to make our communities a safer place to live, by celebrating their unique and valued contributions to the community, the justice system, and the County of Sacramento.
